The trustees and pastor will determine if an outside group may use our facilities and if there is a charge. No event may conflict with the mission, vision, and values of SWC. Our campus is smoke-free. Alcohol and firearms are prohibited.
Ministry functions take priority - other events are on a first come basis. We will attempt to accommodate all other requests prioritizing member requests. Once an event is scheduled we will make every effort to honor that commitment but reserve the right to modify or cancel any event.
FOR PROFIT ACTIVITIES:
SWC is a religious not-for-profit, 501c3. Our facilities cannot be used for personal or business activities that produce a profit for an individual or unrelated organization. The sale of merchandise and publications can be considered the conduct of an unrelated trade or business if the items involved do not have a substantial relationship to the exempt purposes of the organization (IRS pub1828).
Examples: Selling merchandise as an individual or company even if a portion is given to the church is not allowed. A fundraiser selling donated goods for the purposes of SWC's mission or ministries is allowed.
