Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund is a way for members and friends to support the mission and ministry of Christ through SWC today and far into the future. The interest earned by this fund is used to support the Mission and Ministry of SWC while the initial gifts (principal) are preserved.
There are many ways we are called to support Christ's work in our church, community, and around the world. The Tithe is 10% of our income that supports SWCs operating budget including our mortgage, utilities, ministries, salaries, and facilities. Gifts are given beyond the tithe to support specific non-budget needs the Lord has laid upon your heart such as our school backpacks, missions, community care (Benevolence), summer camp, VBS, or endowment fund. A Gift is usually designated for a specific purpose. One such purpose is the Endowment Fund. Gifts given to the Endowment Fund are kept in perpetuity (forever) as a living memorial to the donor's faith and generosity to Christ's mission of seeking and saving the lost. The gift is added with other gifts and becomes part of the fund's principal which cannot be spent. The interest earned on the principal is used for needs beyond those identified in the annual budget. You can direct your gift to one of these areas of ministry:
