Weddings

A wedding is a sacred occasion where a man and a woman seek God’s blessing on their marriage. This celebration unites their families and creates a new one.  A spirit of fun and creativity should blend together with the understanding of the permanence of the union we are creating.

Jesus teaches that from the beginning of creation God made us male and female. He then declares a great and beautiful truth: "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh” (Mark 10:6–8).

Christian marriage is more than a public celebration of love and friendship.  It is more than a lifetime commitment.  Christian marriage is the joining together of two lives at a profound level - deeper than DNA.  The essence, the soul, of two becomes one.

  • PARSONAGE. Small parties.
  • OUTDOOR. Limited only by your imagination.
  • YOUR VENUE. In and out of state.

Counseling
Premarital counseling is recommended.  Pastor Jerry is trained and certified in PREPARE/ENRICH which helps you identify and celebrate couple strengths and growth areas.  This process should begin at least 6 months prior to your wedding date and typically has 6 sessions.

Facebook Live-Stream
Whatever your venue a great way to include family and friends is with a Facebook Live-Stream. During the current pandemic social distancing many are opting for this option and planning a larger in person celebration when it's appropriate to do so.
